ಭೀಮಣ್ಣನ ಮಗ

Written by Shri Raghavendra Bhimsen Joshi, Son of Bharata Ratna Pt Bhimsen Joshi and his Dharmapatni smt Sunanda Bhimsen Joshi, (their eldest son. ). The Kannada translation is as good as the original Marathi one, says Raghavendra Bhimsen Joshi, as he is originally from Gadag and speaks fluent Kannada but cannot read/ write .. the USP of this book is that nowhere has he written even a word in disrespect of his father, who fell into the trap of the Marathi  lady from Mudhol, . She separated Panditji from his wife and family and usurped all control over his finances and life .  This falsely idolised Vatsamma Mudholkar , dared to call the Dharmapatni as " nammane adigeyaaki" ... Apart from mentioning his sadness over the I'll treatment meted out  to him, his mother and  siblings, Raghavendra Joshi shows no bitterness .. but talks of many rare incidents of Panditji's life which he observed first hand . A very good read, written from the heart, as praised by Dr SLB. In fact, while writing Mandra, he spent a lot of time with Raghavendra Joshi to get an insight into the personal turmoils in a musician's life .
